We made +39pips on the EU/USD from a long held over from last tuesday, but lost -50pips on a GU/USD on a trade held over the FOMC release. This has left us in a small negative position in June.

The week ahead we have the Non-Farm Payrolls on a friday, and also the EU rate decision, which will stir up the market. We feel the $ will depreciate until then.

Forex Trading Signals - June 16th 2008 - Round-up

Hi Traders,

We took no trades today. The 1st is that last months NFP was miscalculated and will be revised down. Secondly that this month the payrolls will be stronger (this would tie in with better jobless claims & ADP report). So more fireworks expected, as always.

More updates tomorrow.

If you wish to develop your forex trading and to join our room, please sign up below:

http://www.forexlivepro.com/members/signup.php

Forex Trading Signals - June 4th 2008 - Round-up

Hi Traders,

We waited for the ISM non-manufacturing to place a trade. We felt that the release will be stronger than expected. So we sold GU at 1.9552. We were correct, the ISM cam out at 51.2. But we only managed only to gain 8pips, as the GU was oversold. It would of been a great trade if the pre-release was 1.9600, but c'est la vie.

Quite a disappointing day really, not much movement. This caused massive US dollar strength, and our TP was hit for +50pips or 12.5pips as it was a 1/4 trade. The EU moved 200pips on this statement. The report came out bullish for the US dollar. However, we played the news with a tight stop, but were stopped out at 1.5496 for -20pips or 5pips as it was a 0.25% trade. Only after stopping us out did Traders read between the lines, and the EU put on 100pips.

It was our first news trade, which didnt unfold as we wanted, but alas, our stops were honored in the process.

We have more news trades lined up later in the week.

More updates tomorrow.

If you wish to develop your forex trading and to join our room, please sign up below:

http://www.forexlivepro.com/members/signup.php

Forex Trading Signals - May 30th 2008 - Round-up

Hi Traders,

We stayed on the sidelines today, market again had low volatility, so as soon as you saw a move, it was over. Up down, choppy.

We hope for better things in June. We ground out just +60pips in May, which is better than a loss, as this environment has been tough & tricky, as prices have skewed away from fundamentals and a lot of the inter-market relationships have become decoupled. So, where once it was a wave of prices, now its a lot of different markets without a general theme, and no general idiosynchrony. A lot of the price action have left us scratching our head. Some questions remain unanswered: why is the £ so strong? Will the Euro go to 1.60 or collapse to under 1.50? Interesting, yet frustrating times.

We feel that oil is driving the mkts at the moment. Yesterday, there was a massive drawdown in crude, which led to a fall in the crude price. Which is a bearish sign. So it could lead to bigger falls i the days to come. What this will mean is a strengthening dollar and a falling CAD. So that could be a dynamic which unfolds in the days and weeks to come. If oil falls, it will drag the rest of the commodity sector with it too.

Next week we launch our Pre-News Trades system, which forward tested 180pips in May, so we are excited about that.

More updates on Monday

If you wish to develop your forex trading and to join our room, please sign up below:

http://www.forexlivepro.com/members/signup.php

Forex Trading Signals - May 29th 2008 - Round-up

Hi Traders,

Our GU short was closed at 1.9740 for +72pips or 18pips at 0.25%. We wanted to sell GU again, but never quite got to high levels to short.

We feel very gloomy on the £, especially after todays housing figures. The price bounced 125pips so we sold short at 1.9812 and hold overnight.

Its still a crazy rangebound environment at the moment, where its prudent to get a) a good price, b) have a mental stop c) not be too greedy.

May has been a challenging month, we hope for better things in June.

More updates tomorrow.

If you wish to develop your forex trading and to join our room, please visit us at www.forexlivepro.com

Forex Trading Signals - May 27th 2008 - Round-up

Hi Traders,

There were no trades to report today.

More updates tomorrow.

If you wish to develop your forex trading and to join our room, please visit us at www.forexlivepro.com

Bank Holiday Monday - May 26th 2008

Hi Traders,

Due to the Memorial Day holiday in the US and the Bank Holiday in the UK, there will be no sessions on Monday May 26th. Our trading week will start on Tuesday May 27th. Decreased liquidity and being a Public Holiday could make trading difficult this Monday.

Have a great long weekend,

Team Forexlivepro

Forex Trading Signals - May 23rd 2008 - Round-up

Hi Traders,

Arrghh! Is the best way to describe this environment. Our long term view, was stopped out by short term noise, more or less to the pip...again.

We sold GU in the UK session at 1.9777 with a stop at the previous day's highs. It managed to crawl up there only to retrace late in the day. So we were stopped at 1.9850, which on a 0.25% trade was -18.25pips. In fact, reducing our trade size has been our only saving grace in this environment.

A lot of our propriety indicators are screaming sell, but the timing is just out. And in this environment, timing is everything. So if GU follows our other trades, we expect GU to be 1.9600 by the end tuesday!

On a positive note, we are still beta testing our pre-news trades, and again these have worked out, for this week. We plan to launch this in June after a full month of forward testing.

We hope for an end of this choppiness soon.

More updates on Tuesday (Bank holiday on Monday)

If you wish to develop your forex trading and to join our room, please visit us at www.forexlivepro.com

Forex Trading Signals - May 22nd 2008 - Round-up

Hi Traders,

After a slightly more positive UK Retail figs, we sold the 65pip bounce, but were stopped out at 1.9772 for a loss of 18pips, or 4.25pips at 0.25% trade. Usually there would of been a retracement but unfortunately the £ was strong today.

We do feel the pounds rise is coming to an end as it hit 1.9850 yesterday on GU, and this was the top of the recent price channel.

More updates tomorrow.

f you wish to develop your forex trading and to join our room, please visit us at www.forexlivepro.com
